Course
Equip is a college-level educational program designed to equip believers with a strong biblical and theological foundation, offered by CenterPoint in partnership with the Christian & Missionary Alliance. The goal of this program can be found in Ephesians 4:12 as we are working to “equip the saints for the work of the ministry.”
Two Ministry Tracks
Complete courses 1-13 for Centerpoint Equip certification.
Complete courses 1-15 to enter licensing/ordination track of C&ma and receive six credits to Nyack college or alliance Theological Seminary (worth appr. $6,000)
Two 5-Week Courses
No prerequisites are required to take classes. Two 5-week courses are offered every couple of months beginning in September, following a school calendar.

Equip Classes Summary
Classes 1-13 taught by CenterPoint pastors and staff, in person or online for 5-6 weeks per class. Auditing classes is available by permission. Please contact us for more information. Cost: $50 per class.
One of three courses in our Equip program specifically designed to help you:
1. Gain a basic framework for understanding pastoral/ministry work.
2. Learn strategies to help you study and teach the Bible.
3. Develop a practical theology of sacramental worship.
Develop a passion for God with a mind that is being transformed by God’s Word. This class will prepare you to:
1. Be able to use the inductive steps required to study any passage of Scripture.
2. Be able to articulate an understanding of the message of the Gospel of Mark.
3. Be more comfortable explaining a difficult/unclear section of Scripture.
Learn and be able to explain the Big Picture of the Old Testament. Be able to grasp the relationship between the Old & New Testaments, present a panoramic view of the Bible and identify the main characters of the Old Testament.
Learn and be able to explain the Big Picture of the New Testament. Be able to grasp the relationship between the Old & New Testaments, present a panoramic view of the Bible and identify the main characters of the New Testament.
Develop a greater knowledge of the Life of Jesus, with particular focus on his birth, life, teaching, miracles, death, resurrection, ascension and discipleship strategy.
Be able to articulate a biblical philosophy of shepherd-leadership. Be aware of the particular challenges of leadership in ministry and increase awareness of leadership challenges in ministry.
By the time you complete this course you should be able to:
1. Implement resolve and intentionality in your own discipleship process as well as with discipling a specific person in your life.
2. Develop discipleship vision for a congregation or ministry leadership team.
This class will help you learn and be able to explain the basic doctrines of the Christian faith by:
1. Being able to state the major areas of the study of theology.
2. Being able to help people with their problems by pointing them to God’s Word.
3. Being able to apply God’s Word to your own life and ministry.
One of three courses in our Equip program specifically designed to help you:
1. Have a theological foundation of the Missio Dei in the world.
2. Plan a year-round program for missions education and promotion for your church.
3. Plan a compassion ministry for your church to meet social needs in your community with the ultimate goal of using this for outreach to people who have not yet met Christ.
State the major themes, concepts, and content of the Epistle to the Romans. You will be able to:
1. Outline Romans, indicating the transition points between sections.
2. Explain the major doctrines and doctrinal differences arising out of various interpretations of the Epistle to the Romans.
By the time you complete this course you should:
1. Distinguish between an expository sermon and other basic sermon types and describe the advantages of expository preaching.
2. Develop and deliver expository sermons.
3. Relate a Scripture passage to its context for proper exposition
This course assists the student to deal with issues both personal and in family life, the management of time, human resources, and material resources. It also gives instruction on working with a governing board, transitions, and finances of a church.
By the time you complete this course you should be able to:
1. Identify emerging leaders in your church.
2. Develop a strategy for training leaders in your church.
3. Generate momentum for a church multiplication movement.
Equip track + ordination/college credit track
COST: $210 PER CLASS
Throughout history, God has had one, all-encompassing mission. This mission has driven all He has done from Creation to the Cross. The Mission is a course designed to help us discover and immerse ourselves in the single task God has given to those who follow Jesus Christ. This class is six weeks long and introduces students to the topics of missiology and Alliance mission distinctives.
The Christian and Missionary Alliance is an Acts 1:8 movement seeking to bring the whole Gospel to the whole world. This course is designed to help students understand the distinct approach of the Alliance as it relates to church governance, polity, and organization.
